Friday December 21st Holstein & Beef Feeder Cattle Sale
Results from the Special Christmas All Breeds Roundup Feeder Cattle Sale Friday December 21st.
Here this past Friday was our final sale of 2018 as we turn the page going into 2019.
We had a really nice of cattle selling 2,408 head on a market that was fully steady all the way around except on some of the lighter weight beef cattle that were quite a bit higher on the bigger bunches of high quality grass weight cattle that were properly handled..
We were light on the Holstein Steers this week coming off of last week which had a nice run of 1,000 head so the report will be pretty broad as there were only about 350 in the sale.
The New Crop Calf run was good with the quality really nice overall on a steady market with the front end grass weight cattle dollars higher..
The Yearling run was light and the market was good but not enough to get a good test.
We also had about 50 Spring Bred Beef Cows and the market was steady on them also.
So it was a nice sale to round out the last of 2019 with alot of cattle soon to come in 2019 and it sure appears the market is going to be steady to higher in the new year.
