****SPECIAL NOTE**** In the June through August months, our feeder sales will be every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month, which will all be Beef/Holstein Combination Sales during that time
Here Friday, we had another really nice run of Holstein Feeder cattle, on a market that was steady essentially amongst all weight classes of cattle. As farmers turn to field work, day and night, it becomes quite a hectic time for all, as you all know as best as anyone. With that said, there was a great turnout of buyers, and the demand was very good, especially for the properly handled and vaccinated cattle; over fleshy cattle selling at a discount. As grass season is in full swing, buyers are looking for those medium flesh/green cattle, in both the Holsteins as well as the Beef. It is quite a good feeling when we step outside into warm weather, green grass, and most of all; no snow, and no mud!! It’s been quite a winter/spring, relatively mild, however it posed its weatherly obstacles, as us Mid-Westerners are well used to. We extend a big thank you to all you producers, buyers, etc for all your business, hard work, and dedication to the livestock/agricultural industry. Here’s the market report from Friday’s sale.
