Friday, February 16th "All Beef" Feeder Market Report

Results from the Special Winter Roundup New Crop Calf/Yearling Sale Friday February 16th..

Here this past Friday we had a really nice run of beef cattle with many strings of reputation cattle in the sale..

We sold over 2,500 cattle on a market that was fully steady to strong on the grass weight cattle,especially the larger groups, as the availability continues to dwindle across the country of high quality light weights..

The middleweight cattle were fully steady and and the heavier weight cattle that have a one way ticket to the finishing lots were steady to a little lower, more so on the heavyweight heifers carrying some flesh..

But the market remains in good hands and appears that it will remain steady to strong moving into spring with shorter numbers.. The Fed Cattle rounded out the week higher and it came down once again to a last minute end of the game trade on a very positive note..

This is also a good indicator for the feeder cattle market moving forward..

At that, we are still accepting consignments for the World Livestock Auctioneering Championship here Saturday June 9th..

The next Special "Back to Grass" Roundup New Crop Calf/Yearling Sale will be Friday March 2nd starting time 9am sharp.

This coming Friday February 23rd will be our Special Winter Roundup All Holstein Steer/Dairy Cross Sale starting at 9am sharp..
